| When I first came in to the big state of Texas |
My mother Dilara Hafeez, she is from a place
called Sunamgonj. It is a pretty place with hills located at the North Eastern part if Bangladesh. She is the Principal of
Eden College. She has been a teacher in history for a long time. She has visited me couple of times in Texas. I took her to places like Grapevine Mills, Irving Mall and Walmart.

Dad
My father is Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed. He is currently the Jute Minister. He was also
involved in sports for a long time. He was once the Vice President of AFC ( Asian Football Confederation) .
He was the Brigade Major of the Elite 46 Brigade during the seventies. Before liberation he revolted from
Jessore from 1st Bengal Regiment and was awarded the Gallantry award 'Bir Bikram' after Bangladesh gained independence.
In the year 2002
my father visited, Texas , Newyork and Florida on an offical tour. The area from where he got elected is an island
called Bhola located at southern Bangladesh. He was born in Barisal, a nice place full of rivers, canals and
coconut trees.
